Paperchain will collect your cans & plastics free of charge* for customers when taken with the regular paper collections or at the same time as your Confidential Waste Collection.
We ask that your cans & plastics for collection be clean and securely bagged for ease of handling and transportation. Please see collection bins as an optional collection solution. Please collect separately your cans & plastics according to the three groups below.
Metals

Please note, we do not collect – Chemical containers or Non-food cans
Plastic
- Milk bottles with lids
- Detergent bottles with tops
- Clear PET (PETE) bottles with lids; eg coke/Evian bottles
- Hard plastic food trays
- Plastic packaging; eg biscuit tin inserts
- Coloured PET (PETE) bottles; eg beer/cider/soft drinks
- Butter tubs
- Yogurt Pots
- Plant pots

Plastic & film wrap

- Plastic bags
Once we receive the cans at the warehouse we separate the steel from the aluminium. The separate materials are baled by us and sent for recycling.
